To do list

As per usual I have been blogging in my head and forgot to post everything!Okey this is just partially true now.Its been almost a year that I'm living abroad and I love it!I love it so much I didn't find the time to post about it( and ahem don't tell mr.charming but it's pretty cold behind the pc, I've been sitting here for almost half an hour and my fingers and toes are cold)
So to tell you whomever you are (if by some chance someone is reading my ramble hihi) a fast recap of whats been going on this year.
I'm almost done with my office slash beauty and sewing center...me so excited!

Before
The all in one storage for now
After purple feast

Owh and the garden is taking shape (finally!)

We have a lil addition to our little family. Our sweet Lulu who is a mix maltezer and Shi-Zu or how we sometimes call her :the mop.Sometimes I wish I could film her the whole day to show her sparkling personality. She kinda nuts and eats everything. For some reason she likes fruit and all the healthy stuff. She sure doesnt get that from me!But I havent seen her NOT liking anything this far so lol I think she does resemble me a bit.Thats Lulu after hearing mr.Charming come home..owh and those are my toes and my fab shoes for my birthday :)
I have recently come of age (ROFL) and reached the fabulous age of thirthy......................yay...
The party was a better success than I could've hoped and again not true because I had a dream about a garden party with servers and people who cleaned after the party for me...instead I took the party inside because of the cold weather and had a morroccan and asian theme going on.All turqoise..turqiouse (how do you spell it? and white.
Hmm I still don't have a steady job but have been working a bit and learning how to use the public transportation..b.t.w. taking the train at 6 a.m. is the creepiest thing there is to do! Will be learning how to bicycle (ahem) a little on that (neverrr!) I have a perfectly good drivers license thats currently just not appliccable in this country bla bla..Yes I wrote blabla..it's perfectly understandable I hope hihi.

Anyway this far I have learned so much being here. All the sayings are true about first finding one self before dealing with other people and that discrimination comes in many forms. You can be treated better or worse because of how you look and or where you come from.I have met people who are negligent of the people in european countries because they think they have it better than people from poorer countries.I have met people who think where I come from which is Suriname that there is no structure and everyone walks bare foot or rides on a donkey. This didn't make me angry though lol it was just too funny for words when they realise how poorly they know a country that was once a colony of theirs..and France and England.
Being abroad also made my selfgrowth easier and it excellarated it by the daily explorations of things. I have made amazing friends and also learned you can't make people like you and that I'm perfectly content with that (gringes teeth) Happiness is a measurement that we ourselves have the power for. If you can be happy with the little pleasures in life why would you want something that isn't remotely achievable in a few years or just this minute? Like making a good cup of Jo or having your office decorated the way you want it.

Enjoy what you have now and strive for huge smiles tomorrow.

Sunny days

It's been a long while but I'm still here just salivating the days and enjoying the small things in life.I just had to post today about the great weather we are having and how psyched I am to start my herb garden.Hihi look at me..I sound like a middle aged person with my herb garden, planting seeds and wanting to make things grow lol..anyhow I'm still a fashionista scoring 2 great finds today :a mini garden and Olaz total effects. Both need time before you see results but there is so much to do with this weather change that it will just fly by.

Gardenista

I have just a little strength left in my arms to post this today.I just couldn't wait to share my progress in the garden. If I see one more branch or weed I''ll just roll over and close my eyes.I'm beet...Everyone who gardens has my new found admiration! My arms feel numb and I'm sure one fell off.

It took me about 45 minutes to make this border and plant some buxus. My hubby told me he doesn't see the difference between weeds and flowers and I really ..really wanted to plant these cuties before the weather changes. We have a big pile of leftover grey and cream terras stones. As you can see I decided on the grey ones. There is still a lot to do but here's the round up of my first day gardening at home.
My little resting corner out of the sun....
